Server/Bartender at Cocktail Bar

We are looking for an energetic and thoughtful server/bartender to join our award winning team at shelby in downtown Detroit. You’ll be a face of our establishment and responsible for our customers’ experiences. Key responsibilities include curating a memorable experience for our guests. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we’d like to meet you. Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers.

We are a craft cocktail oriented bar with a small staff, all servers are brought on with the goal of training to bartend when ready.

We're specifically looking for someone to work 2 shifts per week.

Responsibilities

• Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
• Attend to customers upon entrance
• Present restaurant menus and help customers select beverages
• Take and serve orders
• Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products
• Collaborate with other restaurant servers and bar staff
• Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
• Issue bills and accept payment
• Constantly build knowledge about spirits, wine, beer, and cocktails.

Skills

• Proven restaurant serving or waitering experience
• Hands-on experience in cashier duties
• Attention to cleanliness and safety
• Patience and customer-oriented approach
• Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
• Responsible and trustworthy

Pay: From $5.50 per hour
