Project Coordinator cum Project Manager (Construction)

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Project Coordinator cum Project Manager to join our dynamic team at KEMUNCAK PESAKA SDN BHD, a leading construction company based in Kuala Lumpur. This is an office-based position at Headquarters, where you will play a key role in monitoring and coordinating multiple construction projects simultaneously, while also providing direct support to the Managing Director (MD) in project oversight and strategic execution.

You will ensure that all projects are effectively managed from HQ, with strong coordination between site teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Coordinate, monitor, and oversee multiple construction projects from HQ.

  • Support the Managing Director (MD) in overall project planning, execution, and monitoring.

  • Track project progress across all sites and ensure alignment with timelines, budget, and quality standards.

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth communication and coordination.

  • Identify project risks, delays, and issues, and work with site teams to implement corrective actions.

  • Prepare consolidated project reports, progress updates, and presentations for MD and management review.

  • Monitor project performance and ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.

  • Assist in reviewing site reports, claims, variation orders, and project documentation.

  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting system is maintained for all ongoing projects.

  • Support strategic decision-making by providing accurate project data and analysis.

What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project coordination or project management within the construction industry.

  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent understanding of construction project lifecycle and site operations.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar project management tools.

  • Familiarity with construction drawings, contracts, building codes, and safety regulations.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
