Product Designer (Two Wheeled)

Brief

As Product Designers, you will play a crucial role in designing innovative and functional aftermarket performance parts i.e. suspension, braking system. Your expertise in 3D design and simulation will be essential for optimizing motorbikes performance, safety and durability.

We’re seeking passionate individuals who are passionate in creating innovative aftermarket performance parts designs that balance aesthetics, functionality, safety standards and sustainability, enhancing the overall riding experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the design ID and Product management teams to create cutting-edge aftermarket performance parts designs
  • Translate design concepts into detailed models for structural analysis.
  • Perform static / dynamic simulations using FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software (to evaluate product performance under various conditions.)
  • Validate simulation results by comparing them with physical testing data.
  • Propose design modifications based on simulation insights to enhance wheel strength and fatigue resistance.
  • Participate in design reviews with factory, providing technical expertise related to simulation results, and align with design for manufacturing needs.
  • Contribute to the development of new wheel concepts and materials.
  • Analyze failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) and review for continual improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: Min Diploma in Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Design or any related field.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience in FEA analysis will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with structural mechanics and strength of materials.
  • Skills: Proficiency in 3D modelling (SolidWorks).
  • Understanding of engineering design and technical fundamentals.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse simulation results.

  • Our MKA Innovation Centre is located at Jalan Kampung Sri Cheeding, Taman Sri Cheeding, 42700 Banting, Selangor.
  • Working hours is 9am-6pm, Mon-Fri.
  • We are looking for three (3) Product Designers for this position.
