About the role

MUFG is seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President, Network Engineer to join our dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and enhancing the company's network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance across our operations.

What you'll be doing

  • Designing, implementing and maintaining robust network solutions to support the company's evolving business needs
  • Troubleshooting and resolving network-related issues in a timely manner to minimise downtime and disruptions
  • Monitoring network performance and identifying areas for improvement
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy new network technologies and applications
  • Documenting network configurations, procedures and best practices
  • Providing technical support and guidance to end-users on network-related matters
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest network trends, technologies and security protocols
What we're looking for
  • 8+ years of experience in a network engineering or similar role, preferably in the banking and financial services industry
  • Proficient in network design, configuration and troubleshooting using various protocols and technologies (e.g. TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, routing, switching)
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and the ability to implement robust security measures
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Hands-on experience with network monitoring and management tools
  • Experience in project management and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders
